The catalyst takes alumina as carrier and copper as the active component with a special additive. Properties of the catalyst were greatly enhanced after a remarkable improvement on its preparation technology. As the result, the catalyst is featured by higher activity, especially the low temperature activity ,higher space-time yield and CO conversion, better thermal stability, longer service life, better selectivity, higher methanol concentration in the crude methanol, less organic by-products , wider range of operation condition, easier reduction and operation, higher strength and less catalyst powder, less pressure drop , which can improve the output of methanol plant.

Application: It is widely used in methanol plants with various processes, including Lurgi and ICI medium and low pressure processes . Its activity level has reached the most advanced level of foreign similar products.
